Hey everyone! I’m really excited to share my recent experience with integrating Tuya smart devices into my home automation setup. I’ve been using Tuya for a while now, and I must say, it’s been a fantastic journey. However, there was one little hiccup that I wanted to address and hopefully get some insights from the community.
So, here’s the deal: I have this WIFI SmartLight dimmer switch that I’ve integrated into my system. Through the Tuya Smart app, I can easily switch the lights on/off and adjust the brightness. But when I tried integrating it into my Home Assistant setup, I noticed that the brightness control wasn’t working as smoothly as I expected. It was frustrating because I really wanted to have full control over the lighting in my home, especially for creating those perfect ambiance settings.

One user suggested checking the device’s firmware to ensure it was up to date, which I did, and it turned out to be an older version. Updating the firmware seemed to do the trick, and now the brightness control is working perfectly!
This experience taught me the importance of staying updated with firmware and the value of community support. It’s amazing how a simple update can resolve such an issue. I’m now much more confident in my ability to troubleshoot and optimize my smart home setup.
