U100 and Apple Home connection

What is the proper way to connect my U100 lock to Apple Home? It seems like I can connect it through my G3 Camera Hub as a bridge or connect it to Apple Home itself. I’m not getting the home key support.

It is currently connected through the camera hub acting as a bridge. Im wondering if this is the reason

@tylor To connect your U100 lock to Apple Home and enable Home Key support, here’s the proper method based on the guidelines:

First, ensure you follow the HomeKit binding process through the Aqara Home app. After powering on the door lock, open the Aqara Home app, navigate to the door lock’s detail page, go to “General Settings,” and tap “Bind HomeKit.” Then scan or manually input the HomeKit code (found under the indoor door lock’s battery cover) as prompted. After binding, add users according to the app instructions—this step is crucial because HomeKit only supports lock/unlock, automations, and Apple Home Key after proper setup.

Regarding your current setup: Connecting via the G3 Camera Hub (a compatible Aqara hub) is necessary for general functionality, but Home Key specifically relies on the HomeKit binding process mentioned above. If you connected solely through the hub as a bridge without completing the HomeKit binding steps in the Aqara app, that might be why Home Key isn’t working.

Give the HomeKit binding process a try, and make sure your iPhone/iPad is updated to the latest iOS/iPadOS, and your Apple Watch (if used) to the latest watchOS, as Home Key requires iPhone XS or later with iOS 15+, or Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 8+. Let me know if you run into any issues during setup
