U100 automations stopped executing

Greetings. Only two simple automations set up through Apple’s Home app-lock door at a set time; open door at set time. The executed correctly, consistently since created in Jan. 2025. Failure to execute began about ten days ago. Use the Apple Home app to test the automations, they execute successfully. But they still no not execute at schedule time. Lock is bound to an Apple HomePod. Have pressed the button on right side–restart I believe, not reset–as trouble shooting. Still locks/unlocks with fingerprint and remotely with the Home app. FWIW in the Aquara app the dock lock board has a red oval with a line through it in upper left. Also Aquara reports an “issue” with the lock, but tapping on the issue button reveal no information. A quick look at this forum shows no obvious answer, hence this query. TIA

@finales_uncanny8y Hey there! I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with your U100 automations not executing at the scheduled time. It’s strange that they work when tested in the Apple Home app but not as scheduled.

There isn’t a direct solution in our reference information for this exact problem. However, here are some things you could try based on related knowledge:

  • Check Automation Settings: Make sure the automations are not set to “Execute Only Once”. To check this, go to the “Smart” tab in Aqara Home, find the relevant automation, click to see if “Execute Only Once” is checked, and if so, uncheck it, then save and enable the automation .
  • Firmware Update: Update the firmware version of the door lock to the latest. Sometimes outdated firmware can cause unexpected behavior .
  • Connection and Gateway: Confirm whether the gateway is connected; if the gateway is not bound, disconnecting Bluetooth will display “offline”. If there is a gateway, check if the connection status with the gateway is normal and whether the distance is too far. Since your lock is bound to an Apple HomePod, also confirm whether there is an Apple Home Hub and if its status is normal and the distance is appropriate .

If these suggestions don’t work, the community here might have more insights. Let’s see if others have encountered similar issues and found solutions. And if you have any suggestions for improvement, you can submit manual customer service feedback.

Greetings. Thanks for the response, suggestions. Tried all your suggestions before posting. Did get a firmware upgrade last week. Changed hub from an Apple TV 4K in media room (about fifteen yards from doorway) to HomePod (about five yards away). The automations confirmed to execute daily. Resolved the issue–at least they worked Thursday evening/morning–by removing the batteries from lock, waiting one minute, re-binding to HomePod. Opening Apple’s Home app on my iPhone should the accessory was “updating”. When complete I tested both automations, which executed. Waited until 9:45 pm when the locked door automation was scheduled and it worked. The 6 am Open Lock automation also worked. We wait for this evening to see if the auto lock automation works. If so I’ll presume the issue resolved. Note in the Aqua app Board screen the Home Service tab still shows in upper left corner a red oval with a line through it and there is another tab the says “Issue”; tapping on the “issue” tab doesn’t explain the issue. Also still get a “Network error” message.

@finales_uncanny8y Hey! It’s great to hear that you managed to resolve the automation execution issue. That’s awesome news! Your sharing of the troubleshooting process is really valuable. It can definitely help other users who might encounter similar problems in the future.

Regarding the red oval with a line through it and the “Network error” message in the Aqara app, it seems there are still some lingering glitches. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how to fix these, you can submit manual customer service feedback. This way, it might help the team look into and potentially address these remaining issues.

Keep us updated on whether the auto lock automation works this evening, and feel free to share any other experiences you have with your Aqara products!
