U100 door lock won't extend the deadbolt fully

My U100 won’t extend the deadbolt enough to engage the anti-prying security mechanism.

Installing inside portion of lock at 6.7 degrees works. Dial is parallel to floor when fully locked.

Lock does not work even when setup on a table with no chance of anything interfering with the mechanism.

@stitzinger It sounds like you’re having a frustrating issue with your U100 door lock not fully extending the deadbolt. Based on the reference information available, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to address the problem:

  1. Firmware and App Updates: Ensure that both the Aqara Home App and the lock firmware are up to date. This can sometimes resolve unexpected behavior.

  2. Installation Check: Double-check that the lock is installed correctly. Even slight misalignments can impact the operation.

  3. Recalibration: Try recalibrating the lock. In the Aqara Home app, navigate to the Smart Lock U100 page, enter “Settings,” and follow the guidelines to recalibrate the lock’s angle.

  4. Battery and Connection: Ensure the lock has sufficient power and is using the recommended alkaline batteries. Check that the connection lines on both panels are secure.

By following these steps, you may be able to resolve the issue. If the problem persists, it could be beneficial to consult with others in the community for additional insights or reach out to Aqara’s customer service for further assistance. Feel free to share any updates or results here!

Hi
Thanks for sharing the details about your U100 issue. To help troubleshoot:
• Could you upload a quick video showing the lock/unlock action?
• Is your strike plate and strike box installed correctly?
• When the lock mounted at 90°, does the deadbolt fully extend then?

Our support team will contact you shortly to help resolve this.

Appreciate your patience!

@stitzinger It sounds like you’re having trouble with your U100 door lock not fully extending the deadbolt, even in a setup with no interference. Let’s try some troubleshooting steps that might help.

First, check if the latch hole is deep enough and free of obstructions—even when testing on a table, ensuring the hole meets the requirements is key. If the manual knob is horizontal when fully locked (which you mentioned it is), the issue might not be with the knob position, but you could try loosening the screws a bit, as tight screws can sometimes restrict movement. Additionally, recalibrating the lock through the app is a good next step. These steps are often effective for latch extension issues .

Have you tried recalibrating yet? If not, give it a go and let us know if it helps—sharing your experience might also help other community members facing similar problems.

If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to customer service for further assistance.

@stitzinger If your U100 door lock’s deadbolt isn’t extending fully, you can try the following troubleshooting steps based on relevant guidelines:

  1. Check if there are any obstructions that might be preventing the deadbolt from extending (though you mentioned it’s set up on a table, this is still worth confirming).
  2. If the manual knob is horizontal when fully locked but the deadbolt still doesn’t extend properly, the screws might be too tight—try loosening them slightly.
  3. Recalibrate the door lock, as this can often resolve mechanical alignment issues .

Have you tried these steps yet? Feel free to share if they work or if you need further clarification!
