U100 Firmware 3.0.0_0035 is out

Looks like Aqara pushed firmware 3.0.0_0035 for the U100 smart lock. The official release note says it “optimizes door lock NFC functionality stability.”

I’ve updated all my U100 locks and look forward to validating the functionality.

I’ve done the update on all five of my u100 locks. I’m having trouble with non-responsive keypads and not recognizing RFID tags. I’ll reset all of the locks and put in fresh batteries to see if that resolves the issues. I’m worried I’ll get locked out if I can’t resolve this. I don’t carry physical keys.

Try the battery replacement like you suggest before attempting anything else. Low battery on the U100 is a known cause of exactly what you’re describing — keypad goes unresponsive, RFID reads fail inconsistently.

If batteries don’t fix it, try re-enrolling you cards without doing a full factory reset. You may be able to clear and re-add the cards through the app without wiping the rest of the settings.

Note of caution: A reset on the U100 wipes all user codes, RFID tags, and fingerprints. Needless to say I’m sure but make sure you are on the inside and just go through one lock at a time. See if that fixes anything before moving on.

You might also want to report these issues to support@aqara.com.

I’ve updated all of my locks without issue (that I’ve seen). Can you verify the FW made it to the locks by looking at it in settings?

I’ve emailed support. Hopefully they’ll have a solution soon. I’ve functionally bricked every u100 in my house with the firmware update.
