U200 not locking after upgrade to FW 84

I have two U200 at my house. One updated to version 84 a few weeks back but the other U200 cannot update to version 84. However since the update the lock started making some noises like it’s trying to move like 3 times before locking the door, but today it then made the sound like 5-7 times and then failed. Tried to calibrate and after 1 time it still didn’t work, then calibrated it again and got it to lock, but still making the 3 “moves” before locking like the “clutch” is not working as it should. Anyone with same problem and how to fix it?

Same thing happened to me. After the update the lock lost it’s calibration so i did the calibration and this is all it does.

Sounds like the gear is damaged or the lubricant is hardened and not the right type, send a mail to support and include the video. Good luck with it :pray:t2:

My lock is just doing noting so sent it to support myself and awaiting their answer. Even recalibrated it but failed at that until I manually moved the nob but then it worked one time and then back to this :person_shrugging:t3: #Door Locks Aqara Products

I have had this exact problem for the last month with two of my U200 locks. I experienced this problem with v77, v81, and v84.

I’ve been working with Aqara support on this, trying all sorts of things and so far nothing has helped. Essentially what’s happening is that the motor is turning but it’s failing to engage with the other gears in the gear box. I can sometimes get it to work for a while, but then it exhibits the same behavior you showed in your video. I decided to give up and return the locks. It’s saddens me because it’s the only lock that supports Matter and Home Keys.

Here are some videos I created while trying to solve the problem myself. As you can tell, I was highly motivated to fix this. But no luck. I can’t tell if this is a hardware issue or a software issue.

Definitely a gearbox or wrong lubricant used so imo we need a new lock where the hardware is working.

Can also see other posts like this that also have a similar problem

Aqara support did send me a new lock. It also had the same issue.

I am also faced an issue after V84.

The battery stopped charging , i tried all actions but nothing happened.

In addition of that the lock start makes weird noises after full open and full closed, noise like the gear is pushed to move more but it can’t.

I contacted Aqara support team but suddenly they stopped replying me and no responses for more than a week.

Anyone faced same issue with battery charging and noise issue

Sorry you are faced with a similar issue. Make sure you make a video of how it reacts, send it to support and if they don’t get back to you contact the place you bought it and make a return request.

The last message from them to update to V84, after I informed them this case happened after I updated to V84 I did not get any response back.

If there any another contact I can reach that will help me.

Contact the supplier it may takes more time since they need to contact Aqara again and to make sure there is no miss use and I could not remove the lock at this stage.

@baselmaks if you don’t hear back within 48 hrs I would contact the seller and ask for refund and make sure you send them the videos as well and let them know you have been in contact with Aqara as well. Good luck.
