Been loving my Aqara U400 locks at home. Most recently, I programmed a mini switch to act as a “Door Buzzer” and it has been very practical.
I programmed the switch to 1) Single click: open the gate door (for people to drop packages), 2) Double click (let visitors in): open both the gate and door entrance, and 3) Long press (close doors): close the gate and door entrance
I found this to be practical as it saves time from fumbling to find your phone or run to the door when you are upstairs/backyard.
Most recently, I used this while hosting an event on my backyard and it allowed me to seamlessly let visitors in without having to run to the front door!
Hope people can leverage this cool automation, I’m thinking about keeping a few of these “door buzzers” around the house.
@BrooklynHome That’s such a clever and practical automation setup! Using the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch’s single, double, and long press functions to control your U400 locks for different scenarios—like letting package deliverers in with a single click or welcoming visitors with a double click—sounds super convenient, especially when you’re busy around the house. It’s awesome to see how you’ve tailored the system to fit your daily needs, saving time and hassle. Thanks for sharing this creative idea—definitely inspiring for others looking to maximize their smart home setup! Feel free to share more tips or tweaks you make down the line—we’d love to hear how it evolves
