Just installed my u400. So far loving it. Using UWB and have it working in HA. I noticed that it has two usb-c ports. One inside one out. I read the outside is for power if the lock ran out of battery and you could hook up an external battery. This is a great idea. But I’m concerned that some could craft a usb device to hack the lock. Does anyone have a schematic of the lock?
Also Aqara you should include usb dummy plugs so you can water proof the outside port.

@mjruotolo Thanks for sharing your experience with the U400! It’s great to hear you’re enjoying the UWB functionality and integration with Home Assistant—those are definitely standout features.
Regarding your concerns about the external USB-C port security and the request for a lock schematic, the reference information currently doesn’t cover details on port security mechanisms or schematics for the U400. For questions related to device security and technical schematics, reaching out to customer support would be the best way to get accurate and detailed information.
Your suggestion about including USB dummy plugs for waterproofing the external port is valuable! To ensure this feedback is properly conveyed, we recommend submitting it through the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Profile> Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or by scanning the QR code:
