Hey everyone, I’ve noticed something interesting with my smart home setup and thought I’d share my findings and ask for some clarification. Recently, I noticed that some of my devices are appearing twice in my hub—once correctly placed in their respective rooms and another copy placed under ‘No room.’ This duplication has me a bit puzzled, and I’d love to understand why it’s happening and how I can manage it effectively.
From what I can see, the devices that are correctly placed in rooms have a type listed as EDGE_CHILD, while the duplicated copies under ‘No room’ are marked as VIPER. I’m curious to understand the reasoning behind this duplication. Is this a known behavior, or could it be related to how my devices are being integrated into the system? I’d also like to know if it’s safe to delete these extra copies without affecting the functionality of my setup.
For those who might be in the same situation, I’d appreciate any insights or best practices on managing device types and ensuring a clean, organized hub. If anyone has encountered something similar or has advice on how to streamline this, I’d be grateful for your input!
Thanks in advance for your help, and I look forward to hearing from the community!
