I’ve been exploring the capabilities of my new Wyze Cam V3, particularly its panning feature. It’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup, offering a wider view of my outdoor space. However, I’ve stumbled upon a question regarding exclusion zones that I’d love to get some clarity on.
When setting up exclusion zones on a fixed camera, it’s straightforward—the zone remains consistent regardless of the camera’s position. But with a panning camera, things get a bit more complex. If I define an exclusion zone and then adjust the camera’s angle, does the exclusion zone shift accordingly? For instance, if I exclude a specific area when the camera is facing north, will that exclusion still apply when I pan the camera to face east?
I’d really appreciate any insights or experiences others might have with this feature. Understanding how exclusion zones adapt to panning could help me optimize my camera setup for better security and fewer false alarms. Thanks in advance for your help!
