I’ve been diving into the world of MODBUS configuration for my PM800 meter, and honestly, it’s been a bit of a puzzle. After spending hours searching through forums and documentation, I thought I’d share my journey and hopefully help others who might be stuck in the same spot.
So, here’s the deal: I’m trying to figure out which MODBUS registers to use for a data acquisition system. I’ve got the MODBUS map document for the PM800, and there’s this column labeled Scale with values like A, B, F, etc. I’m not entirely sure what this column is for. From what I recall, other meters like the ION8600 have sections explaining each scaling type, but the PM800 map doesn’t provide that reference.
I’ve reached out to a few forums and communities, and while some have offered suggestions, I’m still not entirely clear on how to interpret these scale values. If anyone has experience with PM800 or knows how these scaling types work, I’d be super grateful for some insight!
On a lighter note, it’s amazing how a bit of confusion can lead to such a deep dive into the technicalities of these devices. I guess that’s part of the learning curve, right? Let’s hope this puzzle gets solved soon!
