Understanding Thermostat Display Accuracy in Eco Mode

Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to wrap my head around how the thermostat display works, especially when it’s in Eco Mode. From what I gather, there’s been some discussion about discrepancies between what the thermostat shows and what the app (like Homey or HomeKit) indicates. I’d love to get a clearer picture on this because I’ve noticed the same thing in my setup.

So, when I press the button on my thermostat, the display immediately switches to match what Homey shows. That’s pretty seamless, but I’m curious about the underlying mechanics. Is the thermostat’s display just a reflection of what the app is showing, or is there more to it? I’d appreciate any insights or experiences others might have had with this. It’s been a bit puzzling, but understanding it better could help optimize how I use my smart home system. Thanks in advance for any help!
