I’ve been diving into the world of Z-Wave devices and have come across something that’s been puzzling me. I own an Aeotec AerQ sensor (ZWA039), and it has three alarm channels: heat, power, and weather. While I understand what these channels are meant to represent, I’m not entirely clear on what triggers them or how to interpret their notifications. For instance, when the battery is low, I expect the power alarm to trigger, but it doesn’t seem to work as I’d hoped. I’ve checked the OpenSmartHouse database and the engineering sheet provided by Aeotec, but I’m still not finding the clarity I need.
I’d love to learn how others have figured out what triggers these alarms, especially for devices they encounter for the first time. Are there any resources or methods you’ve found particularly helpful? I’ve also noticed this confusion with other devices like the Aeotec Smart Switch 7 and the Danalock v3. If anyone has insights or tips on how to decode these alarm channels, I’d be incredibly grateful!
It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m determined to master this. Any advice or experiences you can share would be invaluable. Thanks in advance for your help!
