Hey everyone, I wanted to share a fascinating experience I recently had with my Wyze cameras. I manage a few of them at a remote mountain radio site, and a week or two ago, I accidentally deleted one of the V2 cameras while trying to perform a routine update. Thinking it was a minor issue, I decided to reconfigure it when I next visited the site.
Fast forward to today, I set up the camera again and made a surprising discovery. The camera had been configured for continuous recording to a 64GB microSD card. Even though it wasn’t connected to my account during that time, it continued recording non-stop! When I added it back to my account, I was able to access all those recordings through the app. It was like having a hidden archive of the site’s activity.
This experience made me realize just how robust these cameras are, even when offline. I’ve since been experimenting with different recording settings and sharing my findings with the community. If anyone has tips on optimizing recording schedules or managing storage efficiently, I’d love to hear them!
It’s amazing how these devices can surprise us with their capabilities. Thanks to everyone here for the support and shared knowledge—I wouldn’t have discovered this without your help! :]
