Unexpected Eye Candy with Govee LED Strips
Hey everyone! I wanted to share a fun little DIY project that turned out way cooler than I expected. I was preparing to install some new Govee LED strip lights and decided to test them out before committing. Following Govee’s safety tips, I unrolled the lights and set them aside.
Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed an old glass cylinder I had lying around. On a whim, I stuffed the LED strips inside, leaving plenty of space for cooling. I powered them up through the Govee app, and wow—what a stunning effect! The light refracted through the glass created this mesmerizing display.
It’s been a fun way to experiment with lighting effects while keeping the strips safely off the floor. I’ve been playing with different color combinations and brightness levels to see how the light interacts with the glass.
If you’re thinking about trying something similar, here are a few tips:
- Space them out: Proper airflow is key to preventing overheating.
- Use a sturdy container: Make sure whatever you use is heat-resistant and secure.
- Experiment with colors: Different hues create totally different effects!
