Unexpected Unlock U200

Hello.

So a strange thing happened this evening.

I have what I call a fail safe Automation set up, that every evening at 22.00 it sends a lock command to my U200 in case someone forgot to lock it.

Now I was sitting in my living room, and at 22.00 i hear it starting to rotate, which is odd since I had checked just 30 min prior that it was actually locked, and usually I just hear a “Bip bip” to verify it is locked.

So I checked, and to my surprise it had fully unlocked, but the lock status was locked, and commanding a unlock made it go to the correct unlocked position, so it does not seem like it lost its position.

So I am just wondering if other people are having similar issues?

Best regards

Hi @andirandersen ! That definitely shouldn’t happen of course!
Can you tell me which firmware are you using? I’m not sure but I think to remember that on an older firmware there was some ghost locking issues… but not sure

And what shows your log files for this event?

Do you have Turn Assist turned on? Maybe there’s a bug (or someone touches the dial) and the lock incorrectly thought that someone was trying to open the door from the inside and “helped” them?

I also noticed that the lock status in the Aqara app does not always match the actual state, but HomeKit always has the correct lock state

Hello @DEChrisE - My current firmware is 3.0.0_0077

The log file showed thats the lock locked successfully when it was given the command from the automation

Normally if the lock is already in the locked state the log shows nothing when the command is given, so this tells me there was a rotation of the lock

Hello @cezary806

No turn assistant is turned off so this scenario is unfortunately unlikely

If it doesn’t stop, try to reset the U200.

It’s an older firmware! I would update to 0.84

But I don’t get and option for a newer firmware option?

It says firmware is up to date

0.84 is a beta I think. Turn on beta updates in app settings.

Thanks for the tip

Just installed it so have to see how it works

And please keep me updated if the problem is solved or still exists :v:
