Unlock without latch

Hey, I’m new to the Aqara ecosystem, but love it so far. I’m thinking of an automation, but I don’t know if it is possible.

I have the U200 on my front door, with the latch-pull enabled, as my door only has a key latch release on the outside.

I want to create an automation where specificly when I wake up and I’m home, the door unlocks but doesn’t unlatch. I don’t want to disable the pull spring, as that makes entering my home without a key impossible, rendering the U200 fairly useless.

I would love to hear if this is something that is possible, and if so, how this would be setup.

We had a similar discussion on the forum some time ago.

Currently you cannot automate it, the “unlock” in automations will always pull spring (if you enabled it).

The beta firmware has exposed “unlock” and “unlock with latch” as two separate actions in Matter integrations. So if you use Matter integration and have another ecosystem (like SmartThings or HomeAssistant), you should be able to configure an automation there.
