Hey everyone, just wanted to share a little story from the past few weeks since I got my hands on the Aqara Smart Radiator Thermostat E1. Long story short — I had no idea climate control could be this smart.
So, I recently moved into a new apartment (hello, century-old windows!) and temperature control has been wild. Either I’m sweating like it’s July or freezing like it’s mid-January. Decided to give the Aqara thermostat a shot…and it kinda changed everything.
I’m still pretty new to smart home stuff (probably somewhere between noob and enthusiast), but the setup was actually smoother than I expected. Paired it with the Aqara Hub, tossed a temperature sensor into the mix, and boom — magic. I can now fine-tune temps by room, schedule heat based on when I’m actually home, and even adjust it remotely when I’m running late or heading back early.
The best part? Automations. When the window sensor detects it’s open, the radiator shuts off automatically so I’m not literally heating the outdoors. Also got it to lower the temp when I leave, using my phone’s location. Saves energy AND money — which I didn’t expect to notice in just a few weeks, but here we are.
Anyone else here geeking out over this? Got any smart automations or tips you’re using with Aqara for even better climate control? Would love to hear what setups people are rocking!
