Hi all.
Is anyone else experiencing frustratingly high amounts of issues with the Aqara Home Skill in Amazon Alexa? I find that is becomes unresponsive every few weeks and has to be disabled and re-enabled in the Alexa App to get things to work again. I note that the Skill scores poorly within the Alexa app so I expect that my experience is not unique.

Ive stopped using it sadly.
Useing homey now and siri
Do you use a hub that supports Matter? You could pair to Alexa using the Matter integration, which doesn’t require the skill.
(This is likely the way forward for most smart home integrations as developers won’t need to upkeep two differing code-bases to integrate into multiple ecosystems.)

Thank you for the reply. I have the Aqara M3 hub which is matter enabled. I have a lot of devices already added to the hub but would love to be able to link directly to Alexa via Matter. Where can I learn about that?
You’ll still need M3, but you can pair to Alexa without the skill. In your Alexa app go to add new devices , scroll down to Other, select Matter and then scan your matter code on your M3.
If your M3 is already paired to another matter-enabled ecosystem (like Apple Home) you will need to generate a multi-admin code by putting it in pairing mode from the primary matter controller.

Hi all. I added the Aqara hub via matter to Alexa but I don’t think all devices have come across e.g. FP2. Also those that have appear to have limited functionality. Is this connected to the Matter standard not being capable of pushing out all features.
Trying to get this addressed myself still. No help from Amazon etc. Total BS. If this is the way, i am never buying any alexa products ever again starting right now.
