Updating and synchronizing weather data W100

Synchronization is very bad when displaying weather data from Aqara home, the application shows +2 degrees and humidity 100%, but on one w100 shows +3 and humidity 99%, on the second w100 shows +1 and humidity 99%. As soon as M3 restarts, it immediately starts displaying weather data correctly, but unfortunately not for long.

Hello, the temperature sensor that monitors the situation in the yard transmits data to W100 in the same way (with the same interval) as to the Aqara Hopme application. Approximately once an hour or when changing by 0.5.°C. The weather server is also an unreliable source, the data is changed (by the weather service operator) according to a certain algorithm. Tell me yourself, how many times have you had rain outside and the weather service says it’s sunny🤣.
Therefore, additional information on W100 is just a Zigbee sensor repeater, not a measuring device. For example, I output the temperature of the heating battery there to know if the room was heated or not. The dynamics in that sensor are fast, so the accuracy of changes is high.

Just to add:

As @gafich10 said, the temperature sensor updates with a time delay or when there are significant changes in temperature. This is because the sensor runs on batteries and needs to conserve power. Sensors with a permanent power supply send values more frequently.

The upper history diagram allows you to compare the two sensor types and see how they have developed over time. The yellow line represents the battery-powered sensor, while the blue line represents a sensor with a permanent power supply.

Please note that temperature sensors are never 100% accurate. If you require such accuracy, you will have to spend a lot of money on a sensor.

Thank you guys, I know, I forgot to write that the temperature update can take half a day, and it became on the latest W100 firmware, before that there were no such delays

Okay. Strange. I have firmware version 0.0.0_1539 and the app says it’s the latest version. But I don’t have any problems with the W100. What firmware version do you have?

The same

The joke is that after rebooting the M3 hub, the data update works for a while, but then the synchronization lives its own life

Please specify which temperature sensor you connected to the W100?

I understand this well, I described the process of the Aqara square sensor🙂

None, I take data from the weather informer Aqara home app

I already thought so and just wanted to pass it on as additional information for others.

Everything is also very bad with the T1 sensor, it updates randomly, it has already been discussed in Slack

Please could you explain that in more detail?

What are you talking about, can the W100 be connected to a weather server? Show me where you do it, please.

Update T1: - change by 0.5°C. - change in humidity 6%, or ~1 hour in time. Yes, the problem was with the update on the stable firmware, now everything is without problems. I have 4 W100s, all display data perfectly.

What? W100 if T1 or TVOC is not tied to it, it takes data from the Aqara home application, that is, from the server

Thanks, I’ll check it out, I’ve never seen that, I always tie it to some kind of sensor.

Yes, I can confirm that it displays the outside temperature. But it must be since the new firmware update, because previously the device always showed a few bars when I disconnected the sensor.

I’ll try to see how often the temperature is updated. Right now, it’s exactly 10 degrees, which is 2 degrees above the reading from my outdoor sensor.

Displaying weather data was at the start of the test and sales

Well, I always had the bars. Maybe the Aqara app didn’t know my location; I actually recently allowed that.

By the way, the temperature has just been updated to 8 degrees.
Let’s see when there are problems.
