I’ve been using my FHT 80 heating control system for over eight years, and while it’s served me well, I’m excited to upgrade to a more modern setup with HomeMatic. I’ve been researching the HM-CC-TC thermostat and HM-Sec-Sc contact sensor, and I’m eager to see how they can improve my home’s heating efficiency, especially in the colder months.
One of my main goals is to integrate a humidity sensor in the bathroom to prevent mold growth. I’ve set up a system where the sensor automatically opens the window if humidity levels get too high, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to override this when I’m taking a shower without affecting the overall temperature settings. For instance, could I press a button on my remote to temporarily increase the temperature by a couple of degrees while I’m in the bathroom?
I’ve also been exploring the CCU1 configuration and am curious if it’s possible to program it to adjust the temperature based on my presence. Right now, I have it set to 17°C when I’m away and 21°C when I’m home, but I’d love to have it jump to 23°C with the touch of a button. Is this achievable without writing custom scripts?
Another consideration is whether I can save on components by using the existing contact sensor in the bathroom instead of adding a new one. I’d appreciate any insights from the community on this!
Overall, I’m really looking forward to enhancing my heating system with HomeMatic, but I’d love to hear from anyone who’s tackled similar projects. Your experiences and tips would be invaluable as I take this next step in my smart home journey!
