I’ve been using the Arlo wireless cameras for quite some time now, but I must admit, the frequent charging has become a bit of a hassle. I’m always on the lookout for ways to make my home security setup more seamless and less maintenance-heavy. That’s why I’ve decided to upgrade to a Wi-Fi camera, specifically one that doesn’t require a PoE setup since I don’t have the infrastructure for that right now.
The camera will be mounted on one of the corners of my house, facing the street. The goal is to have a clear view both to the left and right of the camera. This setup will not only enhance security but also give me peace of mind knowing that I can monitor the area remotely.
I’ve read a lot of positive reviews about the TrackMix cameras, and they seem like a solid choice. However, I’m also considering the 523/823 WA models. Both options have their pros and cons, and I’m still trying to decide which one aligns best with my needs. I’m particularly interested in how well they integrate with my existing NAS setup for recording and storage.
Another feature I’m excited about is the possibility of using AI-powered automation. I remember reading about some external Google AI tools that can enhance security monitoring by detecting unusual activity or even identifying specific people or objects. While I’m not entirely sure how to implement this yet, it’s definitely something I want to explore further.
If anyone has experience with either of these cameras or can share tips on setting up a reliable outdoor Wi-Fi security system, I’d love to hear your insights! The journey to upgrading my security setup has been both exciting and a bit overwhelming, but I’m determined to make it work.
