I’ve been using Samsung’s 1080p security cameras for a while now, but I’ve been eyeing an upgrade to Alarm.com’s 4K cameras. The thought of crisper, clearer footage is really appealing, especially since I rely on my cameras for both security and monitoring my kids’ activities. Plus, the seamless integration with my existing Alarm.com ecosystem and the Apple TV app is a huge plus!
I’ve been doing some research and it seems like 4K cameras are becoming more affordable and prevalent. However, I’m a bit hesitant to invest in a whole new system right now, only to find out that Alarm.com releases their own 4K cameras later this year. I’ve heard rumors that they might be launching something soon, but I’m not sure how reliable that information is.
Has anyone here made the switch to Alarm.com’s 4K cameras? I’d love to hear about your experiences—what you love, what you wish was different, and whether you think it’s worth waiting for if they do release their own 4K models. I’d hate to upgrade my system only to feel like I missed out on a better option a few months down the line!
