Upgrading My Smart Lighting Setup: A Journey of Custom Scenes and Color Choices
I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately, and I must say, it’s been an absolute joy! 
I recently upgraded my lighting setup to include some RGBIC lights, and the difference is night and day. The vibrant colors and smooth transitions have completely transformed my space. Here’s a bit about my journey and some tips I’ve picked up along the way.
The Upgrade Process
I started by replacing some of my older hex panels with 3D wall panels. It was a bit of a DIY project, but the results were well worth the effort. I then moved my RGBIC lights to the front of my cabinet, which not only looks sleek but also provides a much better lighting effect. I’m now experimenting with custom scenes, and my current favorite is called ‘Rainbow Runners.’ It’s so much fun to watch the colors dance around the room!
Choosing the Right Colors
One thing I’ve learned is that color choice can make or break a lighting setup. I’ve tried a variety of color schemes, but nothing beats the versatility of RGBIC. It allows for endless combinations, from warm, cozy tones to vibrant, energetic hues. To make things even more seamless, I’ve integrated some motion sensors into my setup. They automatically adjust the lighting based on whether it’s day or night, which is incredibly handy. I’ve also set up some custom automations, like dimming the lights when it’s late at night. It’s all about creating a comfortable and functional environment!

I’m really enjoying how my lighting setup has become a true extension of my personality.
