Upgrading Outdoor Sensors: Classic to IP

Hi everyone, I’ve recently upgraded my outdoor sensors from the Classic version to the IP version, and I’m excited to share my experience and some questions I have about the transition. The Classic sensors have been reliable, but after some time, I noticed they were starting to show signs of wear and tear. The IP version seemed like a great upgrade for better durability and connectivity.

One thing I’m curious about is how the IP version handles scripts that I used with the Classic sensors. Previously, my script captured min and max temperature values using the Classic sensor’s BidCos-RF address. Now, with the IP sensor, the address format is different (e.g., 0010…:1, :2, :3). I’m wondering how to adjust my script to work with the new IP sensor. I’ve tried modifying the address in the script, but it doesn’t seem to be working as expected.

I’ve also noticed that the IP sensor provides more detailed data, which is great, but I’m not sure how to fully utilize it in my current setup. If anyone has experience with transitioning from Classic to IP sensors or can provide some guidance on script adjustments, I’d greatly appreciate it!

Overall, I’m happy with the upgrade, but I’m still learning the ropes with the new IP sensors. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m excited to see how I can optimize my system further. Thanks in advance for any advice or tips you can share!
