Upgrading Rolladen to Z-Wave: Heatit Z-Push Button 8 Compatibility

Hello everyone, I’ve been exploring the idea of upgrading my home automation setup, and I’m currently focused on enhancing my rolladen (roll shades) system. I’ve got six rolladen in one room, each controlled by a 433MHz Intertechno module. Currently, these are managed through Homey and six discrete Intertechno wall switches. While this setup works, I’m eager to transition to Z-Wave for the reliability and integration benefits it offers.

My plan is to replace the existing modules with Fibaro roller shutter modules, which I’ve heard are excellent for Z-Wave compatibility. However, I’m on the hunt for the right wall switches that can directly control the rolladen via Z-Wave associations. I’ve come across the Heatit Z-Push Button 8, and I’m curious if this could work for at least four of my rolladen.

Here’s what I’m wondering: Does the Heatit Z-Push Button 8 support the same functionality as my current setup? Specifically, when pressing the button upwards, I want the rolladen to open, and pressing it again to stop. The same goes for pressing downwards to close. I’d love to know if others have successfully used this button for similar setups or if there are any gotchas I should be aware of.

I’m also considering whether there are alternative switches that might offer better compatibility or additional features. Any insights or experiences would be invaluable as I navigate this upgrade. Thanks in advance for your help!
