Upgrading to 3.2: A Comprehensive Guide

Upgrading to the latest firmware is always an exciting yet nerve-wracking experience. After carefully following the upgrade steps for firmware 3.2, I encountered a few challenges that I thought I’d share with the community in case others are facing similar issues.

One of the most frustrating problems I faced was with several nodes failing to include in the network after the upgrade. After some research, I realized that resetting the Z-Wave network on Vera might have caused some nodes to not exclude properly. To resolve this, I had to manually remove the nodes through Vera’s interface, which wasn’t straightforward. Thankfully, the community forums provided some helpful tips on navigating this process.

Another issue I encountered was with the Wyze bulbs in my setup. Previously, I could control each bulb individually even when grouped. However, after the firmware update, the bulbs now function as a single unit, which is less than ideal. I’m hoping this is a temporary bug that will be resolved in future updates.

Despite these hiccups, the upgrade brought some fantastic improvements. The overall system performance feels smoother, and there are some new features that I’m eager to explore further. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I’d love to hear how you’ve tackled them!

Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other navigate these upgrades. Happy tinkering everyone! :rocket:
