Upgrading my lighting system has been a journey filled with anticipation and satisfaction. After years of using the original LIFX 5-6” recessed lights, I decided it was time for an upgrade. The newer 6” model promised higher lumens and a sleeker design, which were exactly what I was hoping for.
The installation process was straightforward, and I was pleasantly surprised that no modifications were needed, unlike with the previous model. The pairing process was flawless, especially since I use both Apple Home Matter and LIFX Matter. Pairing two lights, which involved four processes, took just a couple of minutes—a significant improvement from before.
The new lights are brighter and the black trim blends beautifully with my darker blue walls. They come with a matte cover option if the shine isn’t to your liking, offering versatility. The price point of $29 made the upgrade even more appealing.
I’m now considering upgrading all my lights, and I can’t recommend this upgrade enough for anyone looking to enhance their lighting experience. It’s a small change that makes a big difference in both functionality and aesthetics.
