After spending quite some time observing the forums and considering the experiences of others, I’ve decided it’s time to take the plunge and upgrade my Vera 3 to Vera Plus. I’ve been running Vera 3 with U15 for quite a while now, and while it’s been reliable, I’m eager to take advantage of the new features and improvements that Vera Plus and U17 have to offer.
I’ve got a pretty extensive setup with a lot of plugins and ImperiHome configurations, so I’m a bit concerned about how the migration will go. I’ve heard that most users are now running smoothly on U17, which is encouraging. However, I’m wondering if it’s better to upgrade my Vera 3 to U17 now and then migrate to Vera Plus later, or if I should wait and upgrade directly to Vera Plus with U17 right away.
I’ve read that some users have encountered issues during the upgrade process, especially with custom plugins, but it seems like these problems are becoming less frequent. I’m also curious about how the migration process works when moving from Vera 3 to Vera Plus. Does it handle the transfer of settings and plugins seamlessly?
