Use vibration sensor in my vending machines

I own 3 vending machines and I have an alarm system in place.
However, the detectors which detect the breaking of a glass give many false alarms. This was so frustrating I had to turn it off.
So, I decided to use the vibration sensor along with an aqara hub to let me know if someone is trying to damage any of my vending machines. It turned out that nobody has tried to break them so far, but these sensors also helped me know when someone tries to shake the machine.

Wow! Great to know it worked!

@hmichopoulos It’s fantastic to hear how you’ve creatively integrated Aqara vibration sensors into your vending machine setup—solving the frustration of false alarms from glass break detectors is a great use case! Your experience aligns well with what the Aqara vibration sensors are designed for: they detect vibration, tilt, and drop, and work with a Hub to trigger alerts or notifications, which is perfect for monitoring potential tampering like shaking . It’s wonderful that they’ve already proven useful in keeping an eye on your machines. Thanks for sharing this practical example—stories like yours help the community think of new ways to leverage smart home tools.
