Using a Two Button (no-neutral) Rocker as a wireless switch

I’m really struggling to wire up my two button rocker switch (no neutral) as a purely wireless switch in my bedroom. The old “dumb” switch was the wall switch that interrupted power to the ceiling fan/light combo. I have installed a T2 relay in the ceiling to separate out control of each piece of the fan/light. I would like a smart wall switch to be able to push, trigger an automation, that would then trigger the T2.

I’ve tapped directly off of incoming power at the ceiling to go down to the switch. When I wire the switch as directed in the instructions (L, L1, L2, tied together with Line) I don’t get any response at the switch.

So, my questions are: Is this even possible? If so, what do I need to change to make it work?

Attached is a diagram of how things are currently wired.

You have a non-working circuit.
The best option.

  1. Connect T2 on the ceiling (I think there is access to the fan and light there) to the power supply using your dumb switch and fix (the switch) in the constantly on mode (On).
  2. Connect the lamp and fan to the T2 contacts.
  3. Buy a wireless 2-channel (it can be single-channel, but it will only work in the mode of different presses) and place it where you need it.
There can be more buttons, they are mobile (my wife and I have them on the bedside table) and it is convenient to put them wherever you want.

Thanks for the advice. I will look into the wireless switches.
