Using Aqara's Hub M1S Gen2 as a signaling light about open or closed windows and doors

I got tired of getting into bed at the end of the day and then remembering, “Heck! I forgot to check the doors and windows to see if they’re closed!”, and having to go downstairs to look. (We have a number of windows accessible from the ground, and we often keep them open, weather permitting.) So I installed Aqara window/door sensors on the “sensitively located” windows and doors, and developed a simple automation using a series of IF-THEN statements polling the status of all the sensors: ‘are any sensors open (i.e., are any windows or doors open)?’ If so, THEN turn the light on the M1S hub BLUE. IF all the sensors are closed (all the windows and doors are closed) THEN turn the light on the M1S ORANGE. This simple visual cue tells me, at any time, day or night (but especially before I head up the stairs at night to go to bed!) if any of the doors or windows “of concern” are open and need to be closed. I’m not a programmer and there may be a more elegant way of doing this, but it’s been working perfectly for me for a couple of years now.
(Unfortunately, I can’t get my video file(s) to upload!!!)

Hello, I don’t have the opportunity to do this. You are temporarily limited by the site system as a beginner. I recommend making a new topic but with a video that you upload immediately.

Moderator, I have done as you suggested, and you may delete this post now as obsolete, thanks.
