Hi everyone, I’m currently working on integrating my Vera controller with some Levitron devices, specifically the VRE06-1LZ dimmers and VRCZ4-MRZ 4-zone controllers. I’ve managed to register all the devices in Vera, but I’m running into an issue where I can’t associate a zone on the zone controller with a specific dimmer. This is important because I want to create scenes that control the dimmers without requiring button press events in Vera. I have a few questions that I hope the community can help with:
- Device Association Without a Remote: Can I associate the zone controllers with the dimmers directly in Vera, or is the Levitron remote necessary for this process? If it can be done in Vera, how?
- Role of the Remote: If the remote is required, how can I ensure Vera remains the master controller while still using the remote for device assignments?
- Zone Controller Compatibility: How many zone controllers does the VRE06-1LZ support, including Vera? I want to make sure my setup is scalable.
- Direct vs. Remote Association: Is direct device association more effective for controlling dimmers, or does it depend on the setup?
- Multiple Dimmers per Zone: Is it possible to assign the same zone to multiple dimmers for more flexible control?
