After a long time using my Vera3 controller, I’ve been experiencing some frustrating issues with the ZWave link dropping, which required frequent power downs. It was getting to the point where I couldn’t rely on it anymore, so I decided to return it for an exchange. However, I was disappointed to find out that the Vera3 isn’t in stock anymore, but I was offered the chance to exchange for the new Vera Edge, which is supposed to be available in early December. I’m really excited about this upgrade, but I’m also a bit nervous about the transition process. Will I have to start from scratch, or can I just switch to the new controller without much hassle? I’ve heard that the Vera Edge is supposed to be more powerful and user-friendly, but I’m not entirely sure how the migration will work. I’ve only got a few devices set up right now, so it’s not a huge deal, but I still want to make sure everything goes smoothly. If anyone has experience with upgrading from Vera3 to Vera Edge, I’d love to hear your tips and tricks! The idea of having a more reliable and advanced controller is really appealing, and I’m hopeful that this will be a positive change for my smart home setup.
