I’ve recently set up Vera Lite in our disaster recovery site to monitor the server rack environment, and I wanted to share my experience! 
After researching various options, I decided on the Vera Lite controller paired with Everspring sensors for temperature, humidity, smoke, and water detection. The Foscam PT camera was a great addition for visual monitoring. Initially, I was concerned about connectivity since it’s on a separate ADSL line, but it’s been rock solid so far.
One thing I learned was the importance of proper placement. The Everspring sensors needed a bit of tweaking to ensure optimal coverage. I also added a small fan for additional cooling, which Vera can now control based on temperature readings. It’s amazing how much peace of mind this setup has given us!
