Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into integrating my Victron data into Home Assistant and it’s been quite the journey!
I’ve been using Node-RED to bridge the gap between my Victron CerboGX and Home Assistant, but I hit a snag when trying to display the data as sensors. After some research and tinkering, I managed to get it working by adjusting the MQTT configuration and ensuring the right topics were being published. If anyone else is struggling with this setup, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to share my flow setup! ![]()
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with automations using statistics sensors for my water meter. It’s been a bit tricky, but I’ve managed to create a binary sensor that triggers if there’s unexpected water flow when no one’s home. This has been incredibly useful for leak detection!
I’d love to hear if others have implemented similar systems or have tips for improving this setup.
Lastly, I’ve been exploring the use of Shelly devices for more advanced home automation. Pairing them with ESPHome has opened up a whole new world of possibilities, especially for controlling outdoor lighting and other smart devices. If anyone has experience with integrating Shelly devices into more complex systems, I’d love to hear your insights! ![]()
