Hi everyone, I’m in the market for a video doorbell and I’m looking for some recommendations. I currently use a Hubitat smart hub along with an Alexa Gen 4 device, and I’d love to integrate a doorbell that works seamlessly with both systems. Local storage would be a huge plus, as I’d like to keep my recordings on the device itself rather than relying on cloud storage.
I’ve heard great things about cameras that can trigger other smart devices, like lights or alarms, based on motion detection. Does anyone have experience with a doorbell that can do this? I’d also love to be able to view the camera feed directly through the Alexa app, which I know some models support.
I’ve narrowed my search to wired and wireless options, but I’m not sure which would be better for my setup. I’d appreciate any advice on compatibility, ease of installation, and which models are known for reliability and good integration with Hubitat and Alexa.
