Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience setting up a virtual keypad for my smart home system. It’s been a fantastic addition, and I’m really impressed with how it integrates with my existing setup. However, I’ve hit a small snag that I’m hoping someone can help me with.
I’ve successfully installed the virtual keypad, but I’m struggling with how to disarm my alarm without entering a code. I’ve wired a solenoid valve to turn off our water supply when the alarm is armed, which is a great safety measure. I also have TUYA water leak detectors placed around the house, and they’re connected to Hubitat, so if a leak is detected, the water shuts off automatically. That’s why I’ve included H2O on/off buttons in my setup. It’s all about preventing water damage while we’re away, even if the washing machine is running!
But back to the main issue—disarming the alarm without a code. I’ve tried a few things, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for this? I’d really appreciate any advice you can offer.
On a related note, I’ve also integrated a few other smart devices into my system, and I’m curious about how others manage their water systems. Do you have any clever tips or tricks for managing water usage or preventing leaks? I’d love to hear about your experiences!
Thanks in advance for your help, and I hope this post can spark some useful discussions. Let’s keep sharing and learning together!
