I recently got my hands on the Vocolinc PM3 Smart Outlet, and I’m absolutely impressed by its performance and features. This device is a great addition to my smart home setup, especially since it’s compatible with Apple HomeKit. The packaging is sturdy, and the included booklet is thorough, making setup a breeze.
One of the standout features is the built-in night light, which is dimmable and provides just the right amount of illumination. I love how it integrates seamlessly with the Home app, allowing me to control both the outlet and the night light separately. The physical power button is a nice touch, giving me peace of mind even when connectivity is lost.
I’ve been using this outlet to power my electric kettle, and it’s been incredibly responsive to voice commands and automations. For instance, I created a scene called ‘Boil The Water’ that turns the outlet on when triggered. The outlet also works flawlessly with my motion sensor, activating the night light whenever motion is detected.
However, I do wish there was a physical switch to control the night light directly, as this feature is missing in some other smart outlets I’ve used. Despite this minor oversight, the PM3 has proven to be reliable and efficient.
