W100 problem to stay on temperature

Hi everyone,

I’m using an Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1, a W100, a Hub M3, and a door sensor.

I want the radiator to automatically go to 16 °C after the door has been open for 5 minutes. As long as the door remains open, the temperature must stay at 16 °C.

The problem is that the W100 can still change the temperature, even when the door is open.

Is there a way to prevent the W100 from changing the radiator temperature while the door is open?

Hello, welcome to the forum.
Most likely, your problem is related to the temperature sampling on the W100. It probably has a large measurement interval. Read the description of the settings, maybe it will help you.

Do you mean here that pushing the buttons on the W100 while the door is open should not have an effect?

Thank you for your message. That is indeed what I mean. I have this setup in our B&B. When guests open the door for 5 minutes, I want the heating to go down to a lower setting. I already have that automation in the Aqara app. However, they can still increase the heating while the door is open. I have already tried creating an automation so that when the up button is pressed, the set value stays the same. But somehow, after a few seconds, the temperature goes up anyway.

In the automations there is an option you can use ( Opened For Over ) in minutes for door / window sensors so you could use this as a condition in an automation.

It can actually be used for triggers or conditions

So if the door is open for over 5 minutes then set radiator E1 target temperature to 16 deg.

The W100 should not be able to change the target temperature unless bound to the radiator and the buttons are pressed.

With the door closed trigger for a set minutes automation you can then set the target temperature to your desired temperature.

I hope this assists
