W200 going offline, no power

Starting this morning my W200 suddenly went offline. Looking at it the screen is black and is not responding to taps. I removed the unit, and then re-attached it to the wall mount, but nothing happened. Later, suddenly, it sprung back to life. Now an hour later, it has gone dead again. The Aqara app only shows “Device Offline”. My WiFi tests out fine and is working with all other devices.
Once again, after about 20 mins, it turned back on. This time I restarted it, but the problem returned. When it turned back on again I reset it to factory settings, then set it up again. 20 mins later it went dead again.
What additional troubleshooting steps can I perform?

It sounds like it’s not getting consistent power. Are you using a C-wire or did you use a C-Wire adapter? How long have you had the W200 installed and what did you use before (just for context).

Are there any logs in the Aqara app?

From the description, this also seems to be a power supply insufficiency problem. You could reach out to customer support, as they may ask you to help collect user logs or run some tests.

Circling back on this, it wasn’t the thermostat that was the problem as my old Nest Learning 3rd gen had the same problem. Investigating various angles including cutting off the old crusty wires, pulling up more cable and stripping and reconnecting, and also installing a wire nut to replace a C wire splice down at the furnace held together with electrical tape, did not resolve the problem. The air filters were filthy and replaced (the app should default to notifying users about this instead of requiring opt-in), I finally discovered the problem. The drain pipe that runs from the furnace, through the exterior wall to outside was clogged. Gelatinous gunk was plugging it up, and a little jiggling of the pipe caused a nasty jelly like effluent to pour forth. This clog apparently tripped a fail safe mode that shut off the furnace. Once it was cleared it sprung back to life and has been working flawlessly. I have since then flushed the drain line, and added that as a maintenance task to my to do list.
