So I got the W200 I know the the temperature sensors can not be used as average temp as of yet. But I have a few older version noot T1 Aqara zigbee temp sensor puck just got on Amazon . They connect and used the w200 as hub but when I try and make an automation using one as replace temp I get error. See pics ? Will only the new T1 sensors work and W100 ?
Can anyone shed some light on this do i return these and Get T1?
@MasterMrX Based on the information available, the Aqara Thermostat Hub W200 currently only supports linking with specific sensors for temperature and humidity data replacement in automations: Climate Sensor W100, Temperature and Humidity Sensor T1, and Presence Multi-Sensor FP300.
It sounds like your older non-T1 temperature sensors can connect to the W200 as a hub (since hubs often support basic connectivity with various devices), but they aren’t included in the list of sensors compatible for temperature data replacement in automations. This might explain the error you’re encountering when trying to set up the automation.
If your goal is to use external sensors to replace the W200’s temperature detection, returning the older sensors and getting the T1 or W100 would likely resolve the issue, as these are explicitly supported.
If you need further help troubleshooting the error, feel free to share more details about the specific error message, and we can try to dig deeper
FWIW, I have a W200 and the Aqara Temperature and Humidity Sensor (the one in this post - the zigbee-based one) connected to its hub and can make it the active sensor just fine.
@US_SteveM Thanks for sharing your experience, US_SteveM! It’s great to hear that your zigbee-based Aqara Temperature and Humidity Sensor works smoothly as the active sensor with the W200. Your real-world usage insights are super helpful for other users who might be wondering about sensor compatibility. If you have any more tips or details about the setup process, feel free to share—we’d love to hear more
Could you please provide us with the device ID of your T1 product for our reference? If possible, please send me your account email. We will support the averaging feature this week, and I can whitelist you for early access.
Not sure what changed or why but someone on line suggest I remove and reinstall.
Now it shows . This is a none T1 Aqara temp sensor.
@MasterMrX It’s great to hear that the non-T1 Aqara temperature sensor is now showing up after the reinstall—thanks for sharing this update! It’s always helpful to learn about workarounds that community members discover. If you run into any further issues with using it for temperature replacement in automations, feel free to share more details (like whether the error persists or new behavior occurs), and we can help troubleshoot together.
my aqara deveice id is lumi1.54ef449bb5f0
I don’t have t1 temp sensor I ordered a few I only have one none t1 temp sensor older ver.
This is my none t1 sensor info .
You can try again,we have a new function
Yes all seems to be working fine on new software update that now allows other sensors and 3rd party ones as well.
Would be nice if there some sort of instructions. on the best proper way to set up.
