W600 in Home Assistant (Zigbee2mqtt)

Has anyone been able to get an external temp sensor to control the W600? I.e over ride it’s internal temp sensor.

Iv used better thermostat in HA to connect an external temp sensor for better room temp reading, but iv noticed that the valve position is calculated off the internal temp sensor still.

Again via better thermostat it’s auto updating the delta offset to try and match the external sensor, but in some cases the +5-5 that we have is not enough.

This partly explains the over shooting of temperature as in order for it to reach say 20C my other temp sensor is reading say 22 or 23C.

It doesn’t work at all. Search for the thread with all known problems listed (it’s long) and do a search on the Home Assistant and Zigbee2mqtt forums as well. You will have to make seriously long automation workflows and some of the needed things aren’t exposed to HA or zigbee2mqtt. But anyway… welcome to the club of people who bought the w600 and lost all hair :crazy_face:
