Water leak sensor connection to G3 Hub

I have two G3 hubs, one of which has six water leak sensors connected. Sometimes when the hub is unplugged and later turned on, the sensors won’t show as connected. At other times, they do show. I was wondering if there is a specific period of time of the hub being down after which the water leak sensors must be manually reconnected. Any insight would be appreciated.

same issue here - but for me push the button once for second is enough. may this is also working for you?

Yes, the two second press on the physical sensor reconnects with no problems. The fact that they disconnect may be related to battery conservation. Just a guess. I was wondering if they reconnect automatically after a specific period of time.

good questions. when I wait longer I also get alerts (false positve).

When I reconnect, I have no issues at all with false positives. It’s just a little inconvenient to have to reach under various places to press the physical device.

Hello.
To save battery power, leak sensors (temperature… and others with batteries) have a certain time after which they send a control signal to the gateway “I am here” (about 70 minutes), and it will also instantly send a “flooded” signal. Therefore, if the gateway is turned off and turned on again and during this period the sensor sent a signal “I am here”, then you will have to wait about 60 minutes again, or artificially flood the sensor.

Thanks for that explanation. Makes sense for battery conservation.
