Webcore Performance and Hub Management

Hello everyone, I’m diving into the world of Webcore after a fresh install of my network and hub. Lately, I’ve been experiencing the need to reboot my hub weekly, primarily due to issues with the Chromecast integration. After troubleshooting, I couldn’t pinpoint the exact culprit, so I decided to rebuild my system from scratch. The folks at HE were incredibly helpful and got me a C-5 hub, which I’m now running alongside my existing C-4 via HubConnect. I’ve also decided to switch from RM to Webcore, as Node-RED wasn’t quite clicking for me.

Now, the big question: does Webcore significantly slow down my hub? I’ve read mixed reviews from users, some saying it does and others claiming it doesn’t. I’m considering whether to run Webcore directly on my HE hub or offload some tasks to a Raspberry Pi 4. Additionally, I’m curious about how pistons function—do they run locally if I keep Webcore on my HE, or is the Pi the only way to achieve that? Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I’m also exploring how to optimize my setup for better performance and reliability. Has anyone successfully managed multiple hubs with Webcore without experiencing slowdowns? Any tips on configuration or best practices would be invaluable. Thanks in advance for your help!
