Hi All!!! Looking forward to getting involved in the Aqara forum. Especially for the perks.
I’m a home automation tinker-er. By no means am I as engaged in the world of doing content creation, but I love technology and trying new things out. I’m an early adopter and like to try new tech as it emerges.
I do a lot through Apple Home/homekit, but also have ventured into the fray and run a Home Assistant and Homebridge to bring non-homekit devices into the mix.
I really appreciate what Aqara is doing in the space. I’ve got several products ranging from temp sensors, presence sensors, to door locks and always looking at how I can improve my setup.
Looking forward to reading about your setup and experiences. We have similar setups. I’ve used Starling for a long time to integrate my older gen 1 Nest thermostats and nest protect smoke/CO2s into my smarthome setup. Now that Google has killed the older thermostats, I’m looking forward to replacing them with something more current 
Aqara.
I’m also a Ubiquiti network nerd as a smarthome can only be as resilient as the network it sits on.

Over the holidays we moved off of Google Nest products completely and are using Aqara cameras now!
