Speaking of contributions, I’ve been experimenting with the Aqara TVOC Air Quality Monitor and it’s been a fantastic addition to my setup. Pairing it with the C-8 hub was straightforward, but I heard it can be tricky with older hubs. The E-ink display showing the battery level is a nice touch, and it’s been reliable in monitoring air quality. If anyone has tips on optimizing its performance, I’d love to hear them!
On another note, I’m excited about the new Govee recessed lights. They’ve been a hit in my home, providing great ambiance and energy efficiency. It’s always satisfying to find devices that not only work well but also enhance the aesthetics of your space.
I’ve also been exploring the Piper and Whisper integration with Home Assistant. While it’s impressive, I noticed performance lags on my Raspberry Pi 3B+. Upgrading to a Raspberry Pi 4 is on my list, but I’m curious if others have found the 4GB or 8GB models sufficient for handling Piper smoothly. Any experiences or recommendations would be appreciated!
Lastly, I came across the Universal App Action Builder and it’s opened up a whole new level of customization. Being able to chain actions and attach them to NFC tags or geolocation events is incredibly powerful. It simplifies voice commands and automations, making my smart home more intuitive. If anyone has tips on leveraging this feature, I’d be happy to discuss!
This community is a goldmine of knowledge, and I’m grateful for everyone’s contributions. Let’s keep the discussions flowing and continue to innovate together. Happy smart home tinkering! ![]()
