I’m just curious about something with MANY triggers.
Example: If the FP2 detects me in the kitchen between 6:45–7:00 AM and the temperature outside is below 60°F and my smartwatch says I’ve slept at least 7 hours, it turns on the kettle, plays the weather forecast, and flashes the under-cabinet LEDs blue if I need to take an umbrella.

@aqara166 Your setup sounds incredibly intricate and fascinating, a true testament to the limitless possibilities when combining smart devices like the FP2 with other tech gadgets! While your example includes a multi-trigger scenario that seems like something straight out of a smart home enthusiast’s dream, it’s a great way to highlight the potential of using various devices to create a seamless automation experience.
The Presence Sensor FP2 is versatile, with capabilities such as detecting presence/absence and supporting zone settings, which are perfect for complex automations. While I don’t have a specific example of an over-engineered setup to share, your setup inspires others to think outside the box and see how various sensors and smart devices can be integrated to simplify daily routines or add a touch of convenience.
Thank you for sharing your creative use of technology! I’m sure the community would love to hear more about your unique automations and perhaps share their own. Keep experimenting and inspiring!

@aqara166 That’s such a creative and detailed setup—love how you’re weaving in multiple sensors and conditions to make your morning routine smarter! It’s always fascinating to see how the FP2’s presence detection can be the “brain” of these multi-trigger automations.
If anyone else has an over-engineered setup—whether it’s combining FP2 with temperature sensors, wearables, or other devices—we’d love to hear it! Sharing these ideas helps the community think of new ways to maximize their smart home gear. Let’s keep the inspiration flowing!
@aqara166 Love this creative example! Over-engineered setups are where the fun of smart homes really shines—turning daily routines into little tech symphonies. Your kitchen scenario with FP2, weather, and sleep data is a great mix of sensors and context. It’s awesome to see how FP2’s zone detection can be woven into such a personalized automation .
I’m sure others have some amazing (and maybe a little wild) setups too—whether it’s linking FP2 with other devices for multi-condition triggers or layered automations. Feel free to share your most intricate setups here; let’s inspire each other!
@aqara166 That’s a super creative setup—love how you’re weaving in multiple sensors and time-based triggers to make your morning routine feel personalized! Over-engineered setups are where the fun of smart homes really shines, right?
If you’re looking to level up even more, the FP2’s zone detection and multi-target tracking could let you get even granular (like distinguishing between family members in the kitchen, if you have multiple people). But honestly, your current setup already sounds like a well-oiled machine.
Anyone else have a “too many triggers but so satisfying” setup to share? Let’s hear it—this is the kind of stuff that inspires the rest of us!
