I’m renovating an entire house and trying to use all aqara products for switches, thermostats, and door locks. I live in the US. Anyone with experience for whole house renovation to provide me with any advice/tips?
generally speaking, I am planning to use H2 Dimmers on lights (and hidden), then use of one of the H2-4button3channel switches for scene control in key areas (kitchen, living room, dining room, etc).
anyone run into issues?

When you say renovation, to what extent do you mean? Are you just replacing all switches, stats, and locks with smart models? Or are you tearing out walls and fixtures to rewire and reconfigure the home?

the home is 3 levels and all the electrical are getting re-done (wires, switches, thermostat for new HVAC, etc). the walls are torn down to studs. it’s 3 levels about 4200 sq ft
I will use H2 with Zigbee so that it enables more features, then control via apple home. Because there’s at least 2 W200 thermostats (plus G5 camera hub), I wasn’t going to buy any additional hubs. the lights all support dimming.
I read online that some people have issues with the button controlling exhaust fans?
also I was specifically looking to see if anyone has used it extensively in the house Reno to anticipate any major issues with the install by electricians etc.

This is common for smart switches in general. Exhaust fans create a spike in electrical usage when they turn on that many smart switches cannot handle. Do you now where you saw people having issues with these switches specifically? Haven’t tried the Aqara switches for exhaust fans specifically, but as their relay based, it should be ok.
The biggest thing I’ve seen is that electricians who aren’t familiar with the devices, may not understand them, and often want nothing to do with them 
Your plans for the hubs are ok. Both W200 and G5 pro are zigbee hubs and will work. I would still prioritized a wired hub if it were my house. In the very least, choose the Apple TV 4K as your Apple Home hub and hardwire it.

Hi, my personal advice is to make a neutral wire in the box that is intended for the switch, if possible. This will help you avoid many problems with smart switches.

I think on reddit or something - I don’t remember what exactly it said, and it may have just been a warning, not a real issue.
I’m not planning running cat6 everywhere, but I did ask for at least to the tv and to a closet where there will be mesh routers.
for wall plates, have you used the Lutron satin finish cover plates? I read online that it fits well, especially if there’s a multi gang set up. on that matter, our electrician mentioned a potential issue with the electric box size if there’s many wires - it may need a larger box but can’t get it flush - do you know what he’s talking about?
The switches have pigtails instead of traditional terminals. It can be a lot to fit into a box, especially if you have multiple switches side by side.
I use the Lutron screwless plates all the time. They are a standard decora/rocker size and will fit the Aqara switches.
If your walls are torn down to the studs, I’d considering running more than you think you need. It’s the perfect time to do it. Totally get if it’s outside the budget, but you’ve got a real opportunity to set yourself up for success down the road.
Since you’re redoing all of the electrical, Neutral is code, so this should be fine as the electrician will have to add neutral support if it’s not already there.
