I’m really looking forward to the upcoming Presence versions of the H2 switches. I have a couple of the current versions installed but was a bit disappointed I couldn’t use them for more than just lighting. I have a couple ceiling fans and bathroom exhaust fans I would love to automate using these switches. Will the new Presence H2 switches be able to handle these loads? And if not, are there any plans to releases switches that could handle more in the future?

@jasonpatrick72 For the current H2 switch line, Aqara’s guidance is still basically “lights only,” and they specifically don’t recommend connecting loads other than lights on the H2 US models. This is why things like ceiling fans / bathroom exhaust fans are a gray area (motor loads can behave very differently from lighting loads).
On the EU side, Aqara also calls out that high-power devices like bathroom heaters aren’t supported (regardless of with-neutral or no-neutral wiring), which is another hint that these switches aren’t positioned as general-purpose load controllers for heavier/non-lighting appliances.【This information comes from community discussions and user experience summaries and may vary by environment. As for the upcoming “Presence H2” versions and whether they’ll officially support fan/exhaust loads: I don’t see anything in the current reference notes that confirms expanded load types beyond lighting, or any roadmap commitment for a “fan-rated”/multi-purpose switch. If you want an official answer (and to log the feature request), the best path is to ask support directly.
